Trump proves it all...
As the majority of Americans (and the world) know by now, United States President Donald J Trump is not exactly the “brightest bulb in the Marquee”. Here is an American president who tried to change the path of a hurricane using a Sharpie pen. He recently claimed he cut drug prices by “1500” percent. Yes,…1500 percent! Has anyone received their pharmacy rebate yet? He,…oddly, vowed to bring back plastic straws because paper straws “explode” in minutes. And who can forget how he crazily suggested that injecting bleach into COVID-infected patients, or shining a bright light up their ass, would cure them of COVID. In front of a world audience, he made these ridiculous, stupid, and false claims. When he’s fact-checked and proven wrong, the old geezer defiantly stands by his false allegations and “doubles down” on them. This sitting American president’s huge twisted ego will not allow him to retract a statement or apologize to his voters for any false claims that he has made, no matter how pitifully stupid it makes the United States appear before other world leaders and the world. Shameless and unmoved, there he stands with his false pride on full display and his head held high, with that goofy look of “I’m always right” on his face. He takes the expression “You can’t be strong and wrong” to a new level.
His basic life skills are indeed questionable, but our president also lacks political imagination. It’s no surprise that Trump didn’t come up with the idea of "Make America Great Again”. He stole the slogan from the 1980 Ronald Reagan campaign. And the idea of gilding our White House in gold trim is NOT him demonstrating his real estate-developer eye for expensive interior decor; it’s just him copying his buddy Putin’s house. Despite his shortcomings in common knowledge and imagination, Donald J. Trump can actually be considered the most clever politician in American history.
Trump has single-handedly proven that in these United States, some Americans ARE “above the law”. He has also proved that the collaborative effort of “checks and balances”, as written in the U.S. Constitution by the Founding Fathers,…is FLAWED. Sure, it all sounds good and looks good on paper, but Trump is showing and proving that our nation's checks and balances are basically…just a bunch of outdated bullshit. Every week, he thumbs his nose at the Constitution by doing what he wants, when he wants, and dares anyone to try to stop him from doing things like imposing Tariffs, putting troops in the streets of his political enemies, and using his I.C.E. “Gestapo” to imprison and KILL American citizens. He mocks our justice system each day and week that he fails to comply with “The Epstein Act Transparency Law.” While Trump holds power over both houses and this administration's Justice Department, which continues to kiss his ring and ass, America will not see the Epstein files. Our so called goverment checks and balances are supposed to protect Americans from…”tyranny”, and/or tyrannical behavior. Donald Trump is effectively proving that they DO NOT.
Trump proves that one does not need to be a genius to be the president of the United States. He knows he only has to surround himself with LOYAL friends, family, and staff who are geniuses and have the political imagination that he lacks. He keeps these kinds of individuals in his political orbit at all times. Like a puppet master, he controls “yes men” (and women) of both houses. There also may be a few whacko conspiracy theorists, and there are definitely lawyers who are experts in Constitutional Law, local, state, and federal law in this orbit. He learned a long time ago, even before becoming president, that if he surrounds himself with the right “money, talent, and power,” he can get away with ANYTHING. When not in office, he is an affluent Caucasian male billionaire with powerful connections. A force to be reckoned with as a civilian.
During his first term, Trump knew that, as president, to get what he wanted or needed, he had to insist on having complete control over a loyal staff that would never say “no” or turn against him. He then turned his attention to the Supreme Court. When some Trump adviser told him that he was able to “Shoot somebody in the street and not lose voters,” (boy did he run that claim into the ground), you can be sure that they also told him that one of his first orders of business as president should be to manipulate the law so that it works for him and his administration. With that, Trump strategically appointed Supreme Court Justices he believed would rule in his favor on any of his questionable or controversial presidential decrees. In other words, he worked to “Stack the Deck.” This move helped to make him above the law as the sitting president. His Supreme Court granted him carte blanche to break the law as president. A ruling these justices may very soon regret.
But let’s not pat old Donald on the back for being too clever just yet.
As a civilian and after being voted out of office in 2020:
The House Select Committee on January 6th referred Trump for prosecution on multiple statutes, including obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy to defraud the United States, based on evidence related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results and the subsequent Capitol riot. No indictment. No conviction.
On May 9, 2023, A jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse (battery) and defamation, awarding Carroll $5 million in damages.
On June 8, 2023, Donald J. Trump became the first former U.S. president to be indicted by a federal grand jury. The 37-count indictment relates to the alleged mishandling of classified documents. Case dismissed in 2024 after re-election.
On Jan 26, 2024, A jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse (battery) and defamation, awarding Carroll $83 million in damages.
On May 30, 2024, a New York jury convicted Trump on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump was sentenced to an unconditional discharge on January 10, 2025.
Donald Trump was also impeached on December 18, 2019. The House of Representatives impeached Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. No removal from office. No conviction.
Other Americans have been tried and convicted for the mishandling of classified material (Director David Petraeus, NSA contractor Harold Martin III, and Air Force analyst Daniel Hale,…). Yet, Donald Trump walks away from his indictment for the mishandling of United States classified material without so much as a day in a courtroom to explain why these materials were even in his possession upon leaving office. No trial. No hearing. NOTHING. This United States president, of whom some world leaders dub “the useful idiot,” was even caught showing classified material to his Mar-A-Lago guests! As a vet, that made me cringe. Our government would have run the average “Joe” up a flagpole by his thumbs, then imprisoned him for his blatant disregard of STOLEN United States classified material. Yet, this affluent, caucasian male billionaire walks away from his classified material indictment scot free,…thus once again proving to America that all that bullshit rhetoric regarding “No one being above the law” in this country does not appear to apply to Americans like him.
Trump even proved that you can run for president and win even with a criminal record. With the help of his clever ass-kissing minions, Trump has revealed a flaw in the official presidential candidate qualifications. At present, there are no constitutional restrictions preventing a convicted felon or even someone in prison from running for or serving as President of the United States. Donald Trump became the first major party candidate and former president to run as a convicted felon. Makes ya think, don’t it? An actual convicted felon is running the USA. Giving a new meaning to the term “crime boss”.
In fairness, at least one of Trump's policies has proven to be very effective. Politicians on both sides of the aisle agree. Illegal border crossings have plummeted to near zero. Trump has made it so that criminals from other countries are scared to come here. Criminals in and outside of the U.S. are now fully aware that if they are caught illegally residing here, the U. S. is going to give them a free one-way ride to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT mega-prison (Center for Terrorism Confinement), no matter what country they are from. President Trump's greatest accomplishment thus far. He has proved to those before him that tough and effective border security and immigration enforcement will stop the flow of illegals entering the United States.
But Trump needs to pause and listen to his constituents in order to preserve this rare “good” Trump legacy. He needs to “pump the brakes” and order that skinny, oversized cowboy hat-wearing wackadoodle to put a leash on her wannabe cops ICE Gestapo before they ruin his border control legacy.
For now, until maybe immigration policies can be re-evaluated and revamped, ICE should stick to seeking out immigrant criminals. Those who are not criminals but are here illegally still need to be found, identified, tracked, and at least given only ONE warning to start their citizenship paperwork, or ICE will return with deportation orders to escort them out of the country. Just sayin’. Other countries wouldn’t hesitate to jail or deport americans that are in their country illegally. Right?… What do you think?
